Hello! My name is Phommachak Singhavong and I also go by Joey. I was originally born in Savannakhet, Laos and have since immigrated and became a U.S citizen. I'm currently living in the city of Boston, Massachusetts; where I spend my time exploring and capturing the deep history of this beautiful place, along with the interesting people I encounter. 

 My passion for creating began at a young age, making silly videos with my friends and posting them on YouTube. I found that I enjoyed making things to share with others and seeing them light up with joy. As the years go by, I've grown as an artist, in the way I capture things that are most significant to me.
All this to say... I'm always looking to the push myself to create bigger and better things!

 When I'm working on a project, you can expect me to pay great attention to the aesthetic, colors, narrative, feeling, and purpose of the project. I strive to always create something that is entirely unique to the individual, while also staying true to my own style.

In my free time I enjoy boxing, cooking, filming vlogs, and exploring new places.

Lastly, you may be wondering... why Joey The Monk? Well long story short, I was once a Buddhist monk in a village in Laos. It represents my philosophy in how I want to live my life.
